Corrosion Inhibitors & Coatings for Agrochemicals

USP Grade Propylene Glycol Description At Quimiconsult we offer USP propylene glycol, a pharmaceutical-grade organic compound with the chemical formula C₃H₈O₂, also known as 1,2-propanediol or by its food additive code E1520. It is a clear, colorless, slightly viscous and virtually odorless liquid, with a minimum purity of 99.5% and complete miscibility in water and alcohol. Its CAS number is 57-55-6 and its molecular weight is 76.09 g/mol. USP propylene glycol stands out as an exceptionally versatile solvent capable of dissolving organic substances that are not soluble in water, making it an ideal carrier for flavors, colorants, active pharmaceutical ingredients and cosmetic fragrances. Its hygroscopic nature allows it to attract and retain moisture from the environment, a property that makes it work as a humectant in foods, cosmetics and pharmaceutical formulations, preserving the texture, consistency and shelf life of the products it is added to. Unlike ethylene glycol, which is to…

Ditanium Description — Self-Dispersing White Colorant Based on Titanium Dioxide   Ditanium is a self-dispersing white colorant from Quimiconsult: a complex of titanium dioxide (TiO2) and organic dispersants that delivers maximum dispersion performance. It is a free-flowing white powder with a titanium dioxide content of 87.5 – 90.0% by weight, and it provides a consistent distribution of titanium dioxide particles for uniform white coloration.   Unlike conventional titanium dioxide, which tends to agglomerate and usually requires pre-dispersion or intensive milling, Ditanium carries its own dispersants in a balanced formulation that makes optimal dispersion easier during the process. The result is excellent optical properties — whiteness and opacity — and better consistency, cohesion and texture in the final product. Its heat resistance allows normal use in processes involving temperature.   At Quimiconsult we stock Ditanium in Monterrey, Nuevo León, with shipping throughout Mexico, a…

PBTC — Industrial Grade Corrosion and Scale Inhibitor   At Quimiconsult we supply PBTC (2-phosphonobutane-1,2,4-tricarboxylic acid, CAS 37971-36-1), an industrial grade corrosion and scale inhibitor supplied as a colorless to pale yellow liquid with an active content of about 50%. Its molecular structure combines one phosphonic group with three carboxylic groups, giving it an exceptional ability to adsorb onto metal surfaces and onto suspended inorganic particles, so it acts simultaneously as a corrosion inhibitor, a scale inhibitor (antiscalant) and a dispersant in industrial water systems.   What sets PBTC apart from other phosphonic inhibitors is its high stability against chlorine and bleach, which makes it compatible with water treatment systems that use hypochlorite or chlorine dioxide as biocides. This property is critical in cooling towers and process water systems, where disinfection and scale control must run in parallel without chemical interference between the actives. PB…

Product description, Silicon Dioxide high-purity fumed silica At Quimiconsult we distribute Silicon Dioxide, a high-performance specialty chemical also known as colloidal silica, synthetic amorphous silica, fumed silica or silica fume, with the chemical formula SiO₂ and CAS number 7631-86-9. It is an ultrafine, odorless, chemically inert and non-toxic white powder, with a minimum SiO₂ purity above 99.80%, a BET specific surface area of 180 to 220 m²/g and an extremely low bulk density of approximately 50 g/L. These structural properties, derived from the nanometric size of its primary particles and the three-dimensional structure of its open aggregates, are responsible for the product's exceptional performance as an anti-caking agent, powder flow aid, rheology control agent, thickener, thixotropic agent, moisture adsorbent and mechanical reinforcement in a wide variety of industrial systems. Silicon Dioxide stands out as one of the most versatile multifunctional additives in the moder…

Product description: EDTA, a high-purity chelating agent At Quimiconsult we offer EDTA (ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid), the most important and widely used chelating agent in industry, with a minimum purity of 99% and a proven ability to form stable complexes with virtually every metal ion of industrial and agricultural relevance. EDTA is an organic molecule that acts as a hexadentate ligand, meaning it coordinates metals reversibly through four acetate positions and two amino positions, wrapping the metal ion in an extraordinarily stable octahedral coordination structure that keeps it soluble and bioavailable in solution. EDTA’s powerful chelating capacity makes it an indispensable compound in many industrial sectors. In agriculture, EDTA binds micronutrient metal ions such as iron, zinc, manganese, copper and calcium, preventing them from precipitating in the soil as insoluble oxides, hydroxides or carbonates that plant roots cannot absorb. By keeping these micronutrients in a chel…

Product description – technical grade sodium gluconate At Quimiconsult we offer industrial grade sodium gluconate in Mexico, a high-purity (≥ 98 %) white crystalline powder with excellent water solubility, designed for processes that require an efficient chelating agent, formulation stabilizer and set retarder in cementitious systems. Its non-corrosive, non-toxic and biodegradable nature makes it a functional alternative to other metal sequestrants used in industrial applications. Thanks to its ability to form stable complexes with metal ions such as calcium, iron and aluminum, sodium gluconate improves the chemical stability of alkaline solutions, prevents scaling, optimizes concrete workability and allows homogeneous dispersion of components in liquid and solid formulations. This positions it as a multifunctional additive in the construction, industrial cleaning, water treatment, electroplating and chemical formulation industries. Industrial grade sodium gluconate is available in Mo…

Product description: Sodium Citrate, a multifunctional food additive At Quimiconsult we offer Sodium Citrate (trisodium citrate dihydrate), a sodium salt of citric acid widely used in the food, pharmaceutical, cosmetic and beverage industries as an acidity regulator, emulsifier, preservative and sequestering agent. It comes as a white, odorless crystalline powder with a slightly salty taste and an assay purity of 99.0% to 100.5% that meets the specifications of the United States Pharmacopeia (USP) and the Food Chemicals Codex (FCC), the two most demanding reference standards for food and pharmaceutical ingredients worldwide. Sodium citrate is characterized by its hygroscopic nature, meaning it readily absorbs and combines with moisture from the air. This property makes it highly soluble in water, making it easy to incorporate into aqueous systems such as beverages, injectable solutions, syrups, sauces and liquid formulations of all kinds. Its ability to act simultaneously as a pH regu…
