Glacial Acetic Acid Description: Maximum-Concentration Natural Acidulant At Quimiconsult we offer food grade Glacial Acetic Acid, a clear, colorless liquid with a minimum acetic acid content of 99.8% by weight, produced to Food Chemicals Codex (FCC) standards and Kosher certified. It is the most concentrated and pure form of acetic acid, commonly known as the active ingredient in vinegar, obtained through distillation and purification processes that remove virtually all residual water. Hence the term "glacial," which refers to its tendency to solidify at temperatures close to 16.7°C when it reaches maximum purity. Glacial acetic acid is one of the most versatile short-chain organic acids available to the food, meat, pickling, bakery, sauce and industrial cleaning industries. Its mechanism of action as a preservative is based on lowering the pH of the medium to levels that inhibit the growth of bacteria, molds and yeasts, combined with the direct antimicrobial action of the undissociat…

Product description: EDTA, a high-purity chelating agent At Quimiconsult we offer EDTA (ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid), the most important and widely used chelating agent in industry, with a minimum purity of 99% and a proven ability to form stable complexes with virtually every metal ion of industrial and agricultural relevance. EDTA is an organic molecule that acts as a hexadentate ligand, meaning it coordinates metals reversibly through four acetate positions and two amino positions, wrapping the metal ion in an extraordinarily stable octahedral coordination structure that keeps it soluble and bioavailable in solution. EDTA’s powerful chelating capacity makes it an indispensable compound in many industrial sectors. In agriculture, EDTA binds micronutrient metal ions such as iron, zinc, manganese, copper and calcium, preventing them from precipitating in the soil as insoluble oxides, hydroxides or carbonates that plant roots cannot absorb. By keeping these micronutrients in a chel…

Isolated Soy Protein Description — Soybean Protein Isolate with a Minimum of 90% Protein At Quimiconsult we offer Isolated Soy Protein, also known as soy protein isolate, soy isolate, SPI (Soy Protein Isolate) or simply isolated soy protein, a high-value functional ingredient obtained from the protein fraction of the soybean (Glycine max), from which virtually all non-protein components (soluble carbohydrates, fiber, oligosaccharides, residual lipids and minerals) have been removed to achieve a product with a minimum crude protein content of 90% on a dry basis. It is a fine, light yellow powder, practically neutral in odor and taste, with a pH in the range of 6.0 to 8.0 and controlled moisture of 7.0% maximum, parameters that ensure its technological functionality as an emulsifier, binder, water-retention agent and protein source in food formulations, supplements, functional beverages, infant formulas, processed meats, plant-based products and specialized nutrition. Soy protein isolat…

Description of antimicrobial potassium sorbate At Quimiconsult we offer food grade Potassium Sorbate, manufactured by Nantong Acetic Acid®, a preservative used worldwide for its high antimicrobial efficacy, chemical stability and compatibility with multiple matrices. It comes as a fine-grained white powder, 100 % active and highly soluble in water, which makes it easy to incorporate evenly into both liquid formulations and dry blends, without leaving residue, causing turbidity or interfering with the production process. Potassium sorbate acts as a selective antimicrobial agent, effective against molds, yeasts and fungi, particularly in low-pH products, where it performs best. Its mechanism of action inhibits the microbial growth responsible for spoilage, without affecting desirable microorganisms or altering the organoleptic properties of the final product. Thanks to its high purity and stability, potassium sorbate helps extend shelf life, maintain microbiological safety and preserve…
