Thickeners for Textiles

Product Description: Xanthan Gum 80 Mesh Thickener and Stabilizer At Quimiconsult we offer Xanthan Gum 80 Mesh, a high-molecular-weight biopolymer produced by bacterial fermentation of Xanthomonas campestris that provides versatile, high-performance rheology control across a wide range of industrial applications. As specialized distributors of functional ingredients for the food, cleaning, agro-industrial, oil and coatings industries, we guarantee a steady supply of premium-quality xanthan gum with technical support and full traceability for every lot. Xanthan Gum 80 Mesh is characterized by its standard particle size, with a minimum of 95% of particles passing through 80 mesh (180 microns) and 100% passing through 60 mesh (250 microns). This particle size offers an excellent balance between ease of dispersion and convenience of handling in the plant, generating less fine dust during dosing and bag-emptying operations than finer particle sizes. This makes 80 Mesh the preferred grade f…

Product description: Xanthan Gum 200 Mesh thickener and stabilizer At Quimiconsult we offer Xanthan Gum 200 Mesh, a high-molecular-weight biopolymer produced by bacterial fermentation of Xanthomonas campestris that provides versatile rheology control across a wide range of industrial applications. As specialized distributors of functional ingredients for the food, cleaning, agro-industrial and oil industries, we guarantee a steady supply of high-quality xanthan gum with technical support and full traceability for every batch. Xanthan gum is an extracellular polysaccharide that dissolves easily in cold or hot water to form highly viscous solutions even at very low concentrations, typically between 0.1% and 1.0%. This superior thickening capacity sets xanthan gum apart from other hydrocolloids that require heating or significantly higher concentrations to reach comparable viscosities. The 200 Mesh designation indicates that a minimum of 92% of the particles pass through a 200 mesh scree…

PVP K90 Description — High Molecular Weight Polyvinylpyrrolidone, Film Former and Thickener   At Quimiconsult we offer USP/NF grade PVP K90, also known as polyvinylpyrrolidone K90 or povidone K90. It is an amorphous, hygroscopic, linear, non-ionic synthetic polymer supplied as a white to slightly yellowish-white powder, with a K-value in the approximate range of 85 to 95. Its CAS number is 9003-39-8 and its systematic chemical name is 2-pyrrolidinone, 1-ethenyl-, homopolymer. It is the highest molecular weight grade in the polyvinylpyrrolidone family, with an average molecular weight of approximately 1,000,000 to 1,500,000 daltons, giving it the greatest film-forming, binding, thickening and holding power in the entire PVP line.   PVP K90 is highly soluble in water and in a wide variety of organic solvents, including alcohols, glycols, organic acids and chlorinated compounds, making it one of the most versatile polymers available for industrial formulation. This exceptional solubility…

Description of PVP K30, a film former At Quimiconsult we offer USP/NF 26 grade PVP K30, also known as polyvinylpyrrolidone K30 or povidone K30. It is an amorphous, hygroscopic, linear, nonionic synthetic polymer, supplied as a white granular powder with a K value between 27.0 and 32.4. Its CAS number is 9003-39-8 and its systematic chemical name is 2-pyrrolidinone, 1-ethenyl-, homopolymer. PVP K30 is highly soluble in water and in a wide variety of organic solvents, including alcohols, glycols, organic acids and chlorinated compounds, making it one of the most versatile polymers available for industrial formulation. This exceptional solubility, combined with its nonionic nature, makes PVP K30 compatible with virtually any formulation system without altering the pH, reacting with other active ingredients or creating incompatibilities that limit its use. The most distinctive property of PVP K30 is its ability to form clear, glossy, flexible and tough films with adhesive, cohesive and di…
