Corrosion Inhibitors & Coatings for Water Treatment

Technical Grade Sodium Nitrite Description: High-Purity Free Flowing Corrosion Inhibitor At Quimiconsult we offer BASF® technical grade Free Flowing Sodium Nitrite, a yellowish-white crystalline solid powder with a minimum purity of 99.0 g NaNO₂ per 100 g. It is a hygroscopic compound that is very soluble in water, used mainly as a corrosion inhibitor; it also shows antimicrobial properties and helps reduce odors in treatment systems and disinfection solutions. Its distinguishing feature is its Free Flowing condition: the powder does not cake or stick together, which makes it easier to handle, weigh, dose and dissolve in industrial processes. This is a real practical advantage in a hygroscopic product, whose conventional versions tend to cake in storage and must be broken up before use. As a corrosion inhibitor, sodium nitrite acts as an anodic passivator: in contact with steel and iron surfaces in aqueous media it promotes the formation of a stable, protective oxide film that slows c…

PBTC — Industrial Grade Corrosion and Scale Inhibitor   At Quimiconsult we supply PBTC (2-phosphonobutane-1,2,4-tricarboxylic acid, CAS 37971-36-1), an industrial grade corrosion and scale inhibitor supplied as a colorless to pale yellow liquid with an active content of about 50%. Its molecular structure combines one phosphonic group with three carboxylic groups, giving it an exceptional ability to adsorb onto metal surfaces and onto suspended inorganic particles, so it acts simultaneously as a corrosion inhibitor, a scale inhibitor (antiscalant) and a dispersant in industrial water systems.   What sets PBTC apart from other phosphonic inhibitors is its high stability against chlorine and bleach, which makes it compatible with water treatment systems that use hypochlorite or chlorine dioxide as biocides. This property is critical in cooling towers and process water systems, where disinfection and scale control must run in parallel without chemical interference between the actives. PB…

Product description – technical grade sodium gluconate At Quimiconsult we offer industrial grade sodium gluconate in Mexico, a high-purity (≥ 98 %) white crystalline powder with excellent water solubility, designed for processes that require an efficient chelating agent, formulation stabilizer and set retarder in cementitious systems. Its non-corrosive, non-toxic and biodegradable nature makes it a functional alternative to other metal sequestrants used in industrial applications. Thanks to its ability to form stable complexes with metal ions such as calcium, iron and aluminum, sodium gluconate improves the chemical stability of alkaline solutions, prevents scaling, optimizes concrete workability and allows homogeneous dispersion of components in liquid and solid formulations. This positions it as a multifunctional additive in the construction, industrial cleaning, water treatment, electroplating and chemical formulation industries. Industrial grade sodium gluconate is available in Mo…

Allium LCX Description — Dispersant and Scale Inhibitor for Alkaline Cleaners and Bottle Washing   At Quimiconsult we offer Allium LCX, a proprietary dispersant blend with highly effective scale inhibition, designed to boost alkaline cleaners in bottle washing, industrial chlorinated formulations and cooling water systems. Allium LCX prevents scale formation, such as calcium carbonate, at low dosages, and stays effective even in very hard water.   Allium LCX works in synergy with alkaline cleaners and improves their dispersing effect: it adsorbs suspended inorganic particles, keeps them dispersed and stops them settling on bottles, equipment and heat-exchange surfaces. The result is faster rinsing after the alkaline cycle, fewer deposits in the washers and cleaner surfaces. It also offers outstanding stability to chlorine and bleaching lye, so it can be built into chlorinated formulations.   For anyone looking for a scale inhibitor for bottle washing, an antiscalant for alkaline clean…
