Technical Grade Sodium Nitrite Description: High-Purity Free Flowing Corrosion Inhibitor At Quimiconsult we offer BASF® technical grade Free Flowing Sodium Nitrite, a yellowish-white crystalline solid powder with a minimum purity of 99.0 g NaNO₂ per 100 g. It is a hygroscopic compound that is very soluble in water, used mainly as a corrosion inhibitor; it also shows antimicrobial properties and helps reduce odors in treatment systems and disinfection solutions. Its distinguishing feature is its Free Flowing condition: the powder does not cake or stick together, which makes it easier to handle, weigh, dose and dissolve in industrial processes. This is a real practical advantage in a hygroscopic product, whose conventional versions tend to cake in storage and must be broken up before use. As a corrosion inhibitor, sodium nitrite acts as an anodic passivator: in contact with steel and iron surfaces in aqueous media it promotes the formation of a stable, protective oxide film that slows c…

Potassium Iodate (KIO₃) Description: A High-Purity Stabilizer and Oxidizer At Quimiconsult we offer USP grade Potassium Iodate, a fine white powder with a purity of 99.0‑101.0% that meets pharmaceutical and food standards. It is a fine, white, stable and highly water-soluble powder used as an oxidizing agent, a nutritional source of iodine and a stabilizer in demanding industrial and analytical applications. Thanks to its high purity and solubility, potassium iodate can be easily incorporated into mineral feeds, flour and dough treatment and conditioning, as well as biocidal formulations. Food Grade Hydrogen Peroxide 50%: A High-Purity Oxidizing Agent for Industrial and Food Safety Processes At Quimiconsult we offer food grade hydrogen peroxide 50%, a high-purity oxidizer designed for applications that require effective microbiological control, uniform bleaching power and reliable chemical performance in regulated industrial processes. It is a clear, colorless, slightly viscous liquid, fully miscible in water and formulated under strict purity controls that allow its safe use in operations linked to the food industry, water treatment, chemical synthesis and professional sanitation. One of the most important characteristics of hydrogen peroxide is its ability to break down into water and oxygen without generating toxic by-products or persistent residues, which makes it a highly valued alternative in cleaning and food safety systems that seek microbiological efficiency with an environmentally compatible profile. This property makes it a key agent in processes where conta…

Sodium Hypochlorite 14% Description — Industrial Liquid Chlorine (Bleach / Lye)   At Quimiconsult we distribute 14% Sodium Hypochlorite, a high-concentration industrial-grade liquid chlorine for water disinfection, sanitation of surfaces and facilities, wastewater treatment and bleaching. Also known as chlorine, liquid chlorine, bleach or lye, sodium hypochlorite is one of the most versatile and economical disinfectants and oxidizers in industry. It is offered at a nominal concentration of 14% as a reference; keep in mind that, by its nature, sodium hypochlorite is an unstable product: its available chlorine decreases naturally with time, heat and light, so the concentration is a starting value and dosing should be based on measured available chlorine, not on a fixed percentage guaranteed at the point of use.   The Sodium Hypochlorite offered by Quimiconsult is a light greenish-yellow, alkaline (pH 11 – 13) sodium hypochlorite (NaOCl) solution with broad-spectrum disinfecting, bleachi…
