Corrosion Inhibitors & Coatings for Industrial Lubricants & Greases

Technical Grade Sodium Nitrite Description: High-Purity Free Flowing Corrosion Inhibitor At Quimiconsult we offer BASF® technical grade Free Flowing Sodium Nitrite, a yellowish-white crystalline solid powder with a minimum purity of 99.0 g NaNO₂ per 100 g. It is a hygroscopic compound that is very soluble in water, used mainly as a corrosion inhibitor; it also shows antimicrobial properties and helps reduce odors in treatment systems and disinfection solutions. Its distinguishing feature is its Free Flowing condition: the powder does not cake or stick together, which makes it easier to handle, weigh, dose and dissolve in industrial processes. This is a real practical advantage in a hygroscopic product, whose conventional versions tend to cake in storage and must be broken up before use. As a corrosion inhibitor, sodium nitrite acts as an anodic passivator: in contact with steel and iron surfaces in aqueous media it promotes the formation of a stable, protective oxide film that slows c…

Glacial Acetic Acid Description: Maximum-Concentration Natural Acidulant At Quimiconsult we offer food grade Glacial Acetic Acid, a clear, colorless liquid with a minimum acetic acid content of 99.8% by weight, produced to Food Chemicals Codex (FCC) standards and Kosher certified. It is the most concentrated and pure form of acetic acid, commonly known as the active ingredient in vinegar, obtained through distillation and purification processes that remove virtually all residual water. Hence the term "glacial," which refers to its tendency to solidify at temperatures close to 16.7°C when it reaches maximum purity. Glacial acetic acid is one of the most versatile short-chain organic acids available to the food, meat, pickling, bakery, sauce and industrial cleaning industries. Its mechanism of action as a preservative is based on lowering the pH of the medium to levels that inhibit the growth of bacteria, molds and yeasts, combined with the direct antimicrobial action of the undissociat…

Lactic Acid 88%: High-Purity Natural Preservative At Quimiconsult we offer food grade Lactic Acid 88%, manufactured by Henan Jindan, one of the most recognized lactic acid producers worldwide. It is a colorless to light yellowish translucent liquid, produced through the controlled fermentation of natural carbohydrates, which gives it a bio-based profile, high biodegradability and compatibility with modern formulations that demand cleaner, more natural ingredients. With a guaranteed purity between 87.5% and 88.5% (w/w), this organic acid acts as a pH regulator, antimicrobial preservative, flavor enhancer and texture control agent in a wide variety of food, cosmetic and pharmaceutical matrices. Its hygroscopic nature, odorless character and complete solubility in water and alcohol make it versatile and easy to incorporate into continuous industrial processes. Unlike synthetic preservatives, lactic acid is a compound that the human body naturally produces and metabolizes, making it a pre…
