What is the difference between pre-dipping and post-dipping? A pre-dip disinfects the teats before the milking unit is attached. A post-dip is applied after milking, to protect the teat while its canal closes again. Both are part of a milking routine designed to prevent mastitis.

What are Udderzyme Base and Udderzyme Activator? They are the two components of the UDDERZYME barrier sealer. Mixed 1:1, they generate chlorine dioxide (ClO₂), a broad-spectrum biocide, on the teat.

Why does the sealer come in two components? Chlorine dioxide is generated at the moment of mixing. That keeps the product stable in storage and releases its full germicidal action when it is applied.

How is the mix prepared? Mix equal parts of Udderzyme Base and Udderzyme Activator and let the mix rest for at least one hour before applying it. Always follow the product's technical data sheet.

Does teat sealing help prevent mastitis? Teat sealing is one of the basic practices of a mastitis-control programme. It works best alongside a good pre-dip, clean milking equipment and a consistent routine.
