PEG 400, industrial grade. Translucent liquid, 100% active. Used as a lubricant in molds, textile fibers, cosmetic products, and ceramics. Offers excellent compatibility and water solubility, hygroscopic properties, viscosity control, and functions as an emulsifying agent. Properties: pH 5.0–7.0 (5% solution), average molecular weight 380–420, hydroxyl value 267–295 mg KOH/g, density 1.11–1.14 g/mL (25 °C), fully soluble in water, with free ethylene oxide ≤10 ppm and ethylene glycol and diethylene glycol content ≤0.25%.
