POTASSIUM IODATE USP GRADE STABILIZER AND OXIDIZER

Potassium iodate USP grade stabilizer and oxidizing agent. Fine white powder with 99.0–101.0% purity. Stable compound, highly soluble in water, mainly used in salt iodization to prevent iodine deficiency. Also serves as an additive in animal feed, wheat flour treatment, and dough conditioners, as well as in analytical and biocidal applications such as antiseptics. Applications: human and animal nutrition, baking, analytical reagent, oxidizing agent, redox titrations, and antiseptic formulations. Properties: pH 5.0–8.0 (5% solution), iodine content 58.75–59.93%, max. 20 ppm iodide, max. 100 ppm chlorate, max. 2.0 ppm arsenic, max. 10.0 ppm cadmium, max. 4.0 ppm lead, and max. 0.1 ppm mercury.
