AK 100 WACKER® Description — Industrial-Grade 100 cSt PDMS Silicone Oil in Mexico   At Quimiconsult we distribute AK 100 WACKER®, a linear, non-reactive silicone oil or polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) silicone fluid with a viscosity of approx. 100 mm²/s (100 cSt) at 25 °C, for industrial use in Mexico as a release agent, lubricant, antifoam, water repellent and additive for polishes, plastics and textile auxiliaries, as well as a dielectric fluid and heat-transfer oil. It is a clear, colorless and odorless liquid, 100% polydimethylsiloxane (CAS 63148-62-9), with a set of properties that sets it apart from organic materials such as mineral oils.   PDMS silicone oils are polymers whose backbone is not made of carbon but of alternating silicon and oxygen atoms (the siloxane bond, Si–O–Si), with methyl groups attached to each silicon atom. This structure is responsible for the behavior that makes AK 100 so useful: stable properties over a broad temperature range, excellent water repellency, l…
