POVIDONE IODINE BROAD-SPECTRUM DISINFECTANT

Povidone-iodine USP, industrial grade. Fine brown powder with a slightly reddish hue, containing 9.0–12.0% available iodine. Highly effective as a broad-spectrum antiseptic and disinfectant, used in pharmaceutical, sanitary, and industrial products. Its antimicrobial activity combats bacteria, viruses, and fungi. Recommended for antiseptics for skin and mucous membranes, surgical disinfection, hand hygiene, treatment of burns, dermatomycosis, pyoderma, and acne. Applications: medical formulations, topical antiseptics, hospital-grade disinfectants, wound care, and industrial hygiene products. Properties: pH 1.5–5.0 (10% solution), max. loss on drying 8.0%, max. heavy metals 0.002%, soluble in water and ethanol. CAS 25655-41-8.
